Le Traitre condamné, 1894

This postcard features a collage consisting of the cover of the newspaper La Libre Parole and a portrait of its publisher, the anti-Semite Édouard Drumont. On 10th September 1899 the paper ran the following headline on the confirmation of the verdict against Dreyfus: "Le Traitre condamné. Dix ans de Détention et la Dégradation. A Bas les Juifs!" ("The traitor condemned. Ten years' banishment and cashiering. Down with the Jews!")
