During the rebuilding of the Gothic St Paul's Cathedral (1633–1640) Inigo Jones drew upon Andrea Palladio's sketch of the Temple of Sol and Luna which is found, as many of the English architect's models are, in the Quattro Libri Dell'Architettura.
