The Fagus shoe factory, Alfeld

The Fagus shoe factory in Alfeld (near Hanover), designed in 1911 by Walter Gropius and Adolf Meyer, is one of the classic examples of modern industrial architecture. It was declared a UNESCO world heritage site in 2011.
