These song lyrics contain an ambivalent reference to the Holy Alliance, which was concluded at the Congress of Aix-la-Chapelle making the withdrawal of foreign troops from France possible. While praising the peace granted by the monarchs, the lyrics proclaim a (just as) Holy Alliance of the Peoples.
