Bad Pyrmont in Lower Saxony was one of the leading spa resorts in the German-speaking world, where European elites came and went. One example is the Pyrmont “Summer of Princes” (Fürstensommer) in 1681, when 40 members of ruling dynasties gathered in Pyrmont, establishing the spa's reputation as a princely spa (Fürstenbad). In the picture, you can see the historical center of the city, Brunnenplatz.
