Anders Sandøe Ørsted was a Danish lawyer and politician. He studied philosophy and law in Copenhagen, held important posts in the judiciary and government at an early age, and was prime minister of Denmark from 1853 to 1854. Ørsted played a crucial role in establishing an autonomous Scandinavian jurisprudence and served as the editor of esteemed legal journals such as Juridisk Arkiv, Nyt Juridisk Arkiv, and Juridisk Tidsskrift.
