Eyn seltzam vnd Wunderbarlich Thier

This drawing of a giraffe, after a sketch by Melchior Lorck (or Lorichs, 1527–ca. 1590), served as a template for a broadsheet in Nuremberg. The accompanying text emphasizes that Lorck had seen the animal with his own eyes in Constantinople.
