Iron and Steel Works in the Soviet Union

The smelting furnace shown is part of the iron and steel works in Magnitogorsk in the southern Urals, which was established during the Soviet First Five-Year Plan with the help of foreign experts and which was one of the flagship projects of the Stalinist policy of industrialization.
