The “Boller Landtafel” from the New Badbuch (1602) is the oldest printed special map (Spezialkarte) of Baden-Württemberg, depicting the leisure opportunities that were available in Bad Boll. The map's creator, Johann Bauhin (1541–1613), was the personal physician of Württemberg's Duke Friedrich I (1557–1608), who aimed to lure guests to his spa, which had been built only a few years earlier.
