The last edition of the Mediterranean is used (1979/éd. de poche 1990). I left out decidedly Med II, 760 notes 57, 123, 204, 235 as they contain in an isolated form bibliographical data that Braudel added later without changing much the body of the text (eight works on Giordano Bruno from the 1950s in note 57 for instance): Inserting them into the data set above, they would obfuscate the fact that the main body of that chapter remained quite unchanged and rooted in inter-war bibliography.
Language and date of publication of works quoted by Braudel in chapter II, 6 ('Civilisations'), of the Mediterranean (n=147), charts, 2018, creator: Cornel Zwierlein.
