This medal was issued in 1925 on the occasion of the first World Conference for Practical Christianity in Stockholm (August 19-30, 1925). It displayed the following message from German Reich President Paul von Hindenburg (1847–1934): "Botschaft an die Stockholmer Konferenz 18.8.1925. Mögen Ihre Beratungen in dem Geist der Liebe des Sichverstehens der Völker sich vollziehen." ("Message to the Stockholm Conference 18.8.1925. May your deliberations take place in the loving spirit of the mutual understanding of peoples.”) The reverse side of the medal shows Germania blowing a fanfare and standing on a snake symbolizing the Treaty of Versailles: "Psalm 4,3. Revoke the Treaty of Versailles, only then will peace and anew day arrive. Psalm 91. Oh Nation! Nation! Hear the word of the Lord + thus repudiate the lie and speak the truth." However, the question of blame in the Treaty of Versailles was not addressed at the conference.
