Mysterium Cosmographicum appeared in 1596, in which Kepler designed a model of the world connecting the five regular bodies discussed in Platos Timaeus with the structure of the planetary system. In doing so, Kepler believed to hav uncovered the secret blueprint of creation. The drawing shows the various geometric bodies being linked to planetary orbits.
