Johannes Vermeer's "Little Street" in Delft was painted between 1657 and 1658. Vermeer's patron Pieter Claesz van Ruijven acquired The Little Street from his protégé as one of approximately 20 paintings. The signature "I V Meer" is below the window at the far left of the painting.
