The Funeral of Victor Hugo in 1885

Victor Hugo (1802–1885) was buried on 1 June 1885 in the Panthéon in Paris in a grand ceremony. His grave of honour is in the crypt of the church, which was renamed the Panthéon again in honour of Hugo.
