Use of EGO | European History Online
EGO collects and uses data in log files which the user’s internet service provider transmits to EGO. These are: browser type / version, operating system used, referrer URL (the previously visited site), host name of the accessing computer (IP address), time of the server inquiry. These data cannot be attributed to any specific person by EGO. They are needed in order to show the user the content of the EGO online offerings. This data will not be combined with any other sources of data; moreover, this data will be deleted after an anonymous statistical evaluation.
These cookies permit an analysis of the use of the website and allow us to make EGO online offerings more user-friendly, more effective and safer. The collection and processing of data is solely for statistical purposes and for improving EGO online offerings. Only data without any personal references will be collected and used. Cookies may be deleted by visitors at any time from their own browsers.
